Budget Friendly Stocking Stuffers

I don’t know about you, but when I was growing up, we didn’t get elaborate stocking stuffers. I always laugh to myself when I see holiday advertisements suggesting expensive headphones, video games or even jewelry to be given as stocking stuffers. If you can afford to do so, good on you, but I’m sure the average person isn’t interested breaking the bank on a stocking.

Stocking stuffers should not be putting you over budget. Stockings are meant to be for fun fillers, daily necessities or the items we need and don’t buy for ourselves often enough, like socks and underwear.

The options can be endless and you can really get creative with it. Bare in mind, just because an item is small, it doesn’t automatically have to go into a stocking. A lot of items can be found at the dollar store or for reasonable prices at department stores. Heck, you can even thrift some reasonable items.

Below are some suggestions for budget friendly stocking stuffers for the whole family.

Have fun with building a stocking for someone, that is the whole point. Try to personalize items to each person based on what they would like and find useful. Rather than buying items that will create more clutter, try to come up with ideas that will be used, well-loved and not dust collectors. Enjoy the process. The holidays are meant to be for excitement and gaining that gratification of the smiles your thoughtfulness brings to those you love.
