The Million Dollar Family Myth

According to society, I currently have the “Million Dollar Family”. We are a married couple who have been blessed with both a son and a daughter. One of each, we should be set! I cannot even begin to express how many times we have been told this by family, friends and complete strangers.

Yes, this is quite ideal. The world is built for families of four. Trips and vacations, family meal deals, activity packages, the list goes on and on. If we couldn’t get pregnant again, we would have been over the moon with our current little family. But this was never our plan. We have always wanted a bigger family. Our third baby is very much planned and part of our bigger picture.

The “Million Dollar Family” is what you make it and what you want it to be. We are excited to expand our family, there were no surprises here, as surprised as those around us may be. Yes, children are expensive, especially planning for their futures, but with frugal living and smart savings, you can make anything possible. Your life is what you make it, family size, financially and personally. While many things in life are not in our control, how we live and react to life’s ups and downs, is what you make of it.
