Cleaning Schedule: Tuesdays
To continue with our week of daily chores, Tuesdays are for dusting.
Taking care of all the obvious spots, lamps, shelf surfaces, electronics, but also others such as furniture, light fixtures or picture frames. Going from room to room, starting at one end and working your way to the next will allow you to cover more ground. Notice the spaces we tend to overlook.
While dusting may seem like an easier day, which it can be, also consider adding in a few additional chores that may be forgotten or missed otherwise. Have you got a busy week ahead, or a fully booked weekend? Try to tack on the tasks assigned for those days into a Tuesday where you may be able to accomplish more and open up your time for when it seems to be a lot harder.
I try to also add in some regular chores to my Tuesdays, such as ironing, vacuuming or even a load of laundry. Whatever can lighten up the task list later, why not! Or the opposite, take full advantage of the lighter load and enjoy your hobbies, make appointments for Tuesdays, schedule a play date or simply use your extra time to relax, because we all know we do not allow ourselves enough of that.
Regardless of what you choose to do, use your time wisely. Help your future self out where and when you can. You’ll certainly thank yourself for it.
