Bullet Journals
I am that person who has a million thoughts and ideas going through their head, every single day. Trying to keep track of all this can feel nearly impossible. I used to jot things down on sticky notes or on scrap pieces of paper, even the ends of a newspaper or on envelopes that came in the mail. This caused things to get lost, or created a lot of clutter. With accessibility to so many information avenues, such as the internet, books, social media, YouTube and so much more, we are bombarded with tidbits and gems from all sorts of topics, and need a place to put it all.
Introducing, the bullet journal. This is a place to store it all. No need for categorizing or sorting, this is your brain dump of anything and everything you want to make note of to remember for later. Found a recipe, toss it in there. Need to make an on-going to-do list? This is the place. Dimensions required for something, clever quotes, hopes and dreams, write it in here. Literally the dumping ground for anything.
You can do this in whatever way works best for you and your day to day life. I use a journal I keep around the house for anything that catches my interest or comes into my head. While I also keep loads of notes in my phone for all the same reasons but can be with me while I am out and about. Whatever is quick and convenient for that spur of the moment need, to make a note.
This doesn’t have to be pretty, or colour coordinated. Doesn’t need fancy titles or headlines. It is your scribble spot. A source of inspiration and thought provoking. Motivation and encouragement. Dropbox of ideas, memories, desires and dreams. It is what you make of it. This is your diary of randomness. So have at it, and give it a try!
