Spring Cleaning
It is the most tidy time of the year!
When creating a Spring Cleaning list of all to accomplish within the home, it can be a daunting task. While it sounds like a fantastic concept, which it is, this can also cause us to pile on mass amounts of things to do that we don’t normally attempt to tackle. Give yourself time and grace to achieve everything you want to on your list. I recommend giving yourself a month, I do this in April, so you can spread it all out and not become bogged down.
This is a time to open some windows and let in the fresh air. Surprise yourself with how nasty it is underneath certain furniture. Revitalize appliances and devices to their full potential after removing gunk and debris that goes unseen. Tackle some technology decluttering to open up digital space. There is so much that can be done. And while this doesn’t have to be designated to only this particular moment within the year, it is a nice time for freshening up as we move out of a cold, dreary winter and into a bright and cheerful spring.
Here is a directional list for your Spring Cleaning needs:

While we all have our own methods of doing things and our own lists of to-do’s, following this guide can help you remember things you may have forgotten or never even thought of. We can always add or remove tasks as we see fit. Just because we clean something every week, does not mean it should be excluded from our Spring Cleaning. This can allow us to deep clean, dig deeper, remove stains and so much more.
This can also be the time of year to evaluate what we own. Declutter what is unused, not helpful or no longer fits our style or tastes. Replacing well loved items or damaged items can become obvious in these times as well. Spring Cleaning is a time to remove toxins, dust and dirt. This can also be from our cleaning supplies, our daily items of consumption and hygiene products. The list of possibilities can be endless!
What are some tasks you love to accomplish in your Spring Cleaning? Try to make it fun. Listen to music, audiobooks or podcasts. Embrace that accomplished feeling after each task gets crossed off the list. Enjoy the fresh smells after all the yuck has been cleaned away. Breathe that fresh air we are promoting within our homes. This is our time to shine!
